SO my Time O lite has been with me for quite a long time in my darkroom right behind my enlarger. It doesn't bother my paper at all but since Ive been tray developing sheet film in the sink right near by I noticed the bright glow from the face of the timer.. it even cast shadows!

I covered it with cardboard and tape when doing film. BUT being that bright, I am now on a quest to do something to tone it down somehow for working paper. It doesn't fog my paper at all ( did the tests).. but its just bothering me now that I know... maybe a bit of OCD.

I tried using red cellophane over the face (cut perfectly to fit) but that just makes the face appear dark, the numbers arent visible either.

No need for paper, put a dust cover over it when the film is out. I used to turn mine toward the wall away from where I load film.

thanks, that's exactly what I did. just had to clear the plugs of the side and it slips on n off very nicely.

I was very surprised how much light it throws. you don't realize till all the lights are out. even a wall wart charger green led projected a spot on the ceiling.

nice n dark now in my darkroom!

I'm not concerned while printing. when tray developing sheet film in the sink near by is when I am concerned.

I never realized how bright it is.
