looking for a used and affordable Tiltall Tripod.

Looking for a older Leitz model but would consider any of the variations.

Thanks!

I have a TILTALL. It doesn't appear to be a LEITZ as there is no LEITZ logo. It came from the estate of a pro photographer. In the photos you can see where he repaired it when something was broken or missing. It is usable. I have no idea what to ask so make an offer. Be aware it will weigh about 10 pounds including packaging. You might want to inquire at your USPS what shipping will cost from ZIP CODE CONNECTICUT 06410.

Avoid modern versions made in China!

If you search around, you'll find a website with the history of the Tiltall, starting with the first version by the Marchioni's (sp?).

It’s the newest variant (China) and by the looks of it the Handles are toast. Luckily freestyle seems to stock them from time to time for purchased separate.

I might be interested if it was really cheap/free for postage cost. I really could use it for parts as I have a late Leitz branded one I use regularly.

Thanks everyone for the comments!

I have used it the handles while not pretty work perfectly well and the tripod seem to be good quality. If you want it make an offer.

I believe you are referring to rubber "slip on" feet and not the originals with metal "points". I have rubber replacements on my Star D version and they work fine.

Late Leitz models did not have metal spikes just a basic rubber slip over foot (black).

Home Depot has you typical chair/table/cane tips in white and stupid cheap! I actually like the look of the white ones on my black tiltall.

That and the pipe insulation and gaffers tape leg pads really save your shoulder.
