Lots of stale Fortepan 400 to use up, which is a bit foggy :-(

...nothing! I am being wise for a change and PRINTING, instead of shooting more film that will sit unprocessed for who knows how long, and then unprinted until...............

Argus A2B Bakelite Camera for Argus Day.

Never used it before. Seems only one shutter speed is working (1/200 - which is probably a good deal slower than it should be.) Have got some TriX from 1981 that I'm going to use so the results will be erm... interesting.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

This weekend I am shooting the 500CM Hassy with the 40, 80 and 120 lens on a roll of Kodak Ektar 100. Never used this film before and after reading some about it I think I will be testing it prior to Fall Colors 2010. I figured I'd try 3 shots per lens then walk about with the 80 back on it because I just "Groove" on that lens.

Shoot some:
Deep woods and a stream for the 40mm, looking for 1 to 6 second exposures @ f22.
Landscapes in the golden hour of the evening with the 80mm
Close up but not full makro as the lens will with the 120mm of some downed leaves, sticks fallen tree
Then walk about with the 80mm back on and enjoy what I happen upon.

Balda Baldina with Prontor SVS shutter and baldanar f:2,8/50 lens. The rangefinder is slightly off and I'm looking for advice on how to fix that, otherwise its a daisy!

PS shooting Kodak Gold 200, which will meet its destiny in Cafenol-C, black-n'-white always.....

Currently have the F2A loaded into the bag with an 85/1.8 Nikkor AI'd and MD-1/MB-1 combo. IIRC, the film is Fuji Pro 160C, but may be Pro 160S. Also have been shooting my F4 with a 50/1.8 AF and, again, one of the Fujicolor Pro 160 variants. The F3P has a 50/1.4 Nikkor AI and Ektar 100. Nikomat FT2 has a 55/2.8 Micro and HP5+ loaded. Spottie has its 50/1.4 Super-Tak and a roll of 160S loaded.

If I wind up getting a lens, I will also be shooting the R4, with a roll of BW400CN loaded. I usually grab whatever body I feel like shooting on a certain day. Right now, the F is sidelined, mainly because I need to take care of the battery chamber corrosion on the FTn finder. It's active, but not exactly accurate @ the moment. I probably will get it out sometime in the next few days and just do sunny-16.

Canon Canonet QL17 G-III loaded with Ilford FP4+.
Nikon F2/DP1 loaded with Kodachrome 64, probably using my "walk around" 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Nikkor zoom lens.

It's Washington State Fair time again. Gotta love those racing pigs!

Yep, it's that time again. The end of summer.

Hey! Wait a minute! Summer around here didn't even begin this year until the middle of July. That's when it finally stopped raining and warmed up. Now it's over by mid-August? And it's raining again today?

Welcome to Seattle, eh?

I usually go to the State Fair about 3-4 times, time permitting. If you do make it up and should spy a 6-foot 6-inch 225-pound fellow in a baseball cap holding a QL17 and an incident light meter AND trying to look inconspicuous - you'll know I've failed again...

Hah, I saw the late summer/early fall comment and immediately assumed you were in the Seattle area before before even checking the name and location. Thank you for pointing out the fair; I haven't been before and didn't even know about it.

My shooting plans over the next few days:

- Ricoh 500 with HP5+ pushed to 1600
- Finish the last few frames FP4+ in a Nikon FG
- Finish the last few frames of Kodachrome 25 in a Leica IIIc - light permitting

Not sure beyond that.
