This week I am trying a Brownie Target six-16 with Arcos on a modified take up spool. Will try to develop first test roll tonight. Camera belonged to my Grandmother who has had it on a shelf for the past 40 or so years. Cleaned up well and works great.

I just got the negs & contact sheets back from the test shots I ran 1 1/2 weeks ago with 6 old Kodak No. 2 Brownies. 4 of the camera gave nice results, very predictable with each of the 3 built in "waterhouse" stops and different light conditions that I shot. The other two had sluggish shutters which gave unpredictable results, so I need to work on them.

Overall, however, I was surprised at how well those old 80 - 100 year old meniscus lens box cameras performed. Now, armed with individualized data on each, I can enjoy shooting them now and then when the urge strikes.

Gotta order some more 120 film, load it in some Mamiya 645's, then go outdoors and shoot some pix on the first day that it warms up sufficiently for me to stick my schnozzola out of the house. Until then, I won't be taking many photographs. Smiff

These are first time shooters for me... a Yashica - D, Canonette - 28, and if I can find a 4.5 volt battery, a Polaroid 250 land camera.

mamiya 6 with the 150mm mostly, but also the 50mm. Pre dawn with 160t (4 more rolls and its gone for good) and then e100sw (also the last of my stash) at sun rise -- extra special warm and fuzzy

This week: A Rolleiflex Automat model 4 (1950), with Rollei Superpan 200, and trying out a rather spiffy (and complete!) set of original Rollei filters: Rolleinar 1, Rolleinar 2 (both with correction prisms), pale blue, middle yellow, soft focus.

The filters I found at the bottom of a box containing a camera collection I bought on a whim for a song...

Been lugging around 2 camera bags with light meter around neck... I did some Urban decay themed stuff with: Yashica -D, Canonet 28 RF, and Nikon F5. I also took my Fuji S1000 but that's not a real camera.

Last four shots...

through a Rolleiflex Standard with Tessar 75/3.8 and the cut film holders & back. Very nice quality (probably because of the original hood/y2 filter used), but I sure wish I had a way of cutting down larger sized film without introducing scratches & dust.

This week I'm on pins & needles awaiting a shipment of Fuji Acros & the 400 speed Fuji film for use in the Rollei and my Hassy. The Leicas are somewhat neglected lately...I've been carrying a Nikon AWAF35L for my daily camera. What a sharp little deal, that is! Nikon got the 35/2.8 VERY right in their circa 80's point & shoots!

In this frigid NYC weather I am having fun with a Chinon CE-4 w/PW-350 winder. It is dependable and has a solid feel. The winder grip makes it easy to hold and fire with gloves on. Lens is a Pentax-M 50mm f1.7.

This week, The cameras that got film loaded were Minolta Autocord - Yummy. Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta III, 531/16. Late 1950s, from Zeiss Ikon, Stuttgart. 6 X 6 on 120, with coupled rangefinder and 75/3.5 coated Zeiss-Opton tessar in Synchro-Compur shutter. Still a very nice picture taker. and my newest little purchase a Fujica 35 EE ...I am so looking forward to using this quirky rangefinder

Out of curiousity I bought a agfa clack and put a film in it. See what it will do. Also have some ancient box camera's that I want to try out. Propably going to be a one time only thing.

These are the results:
1.

2.

3.

I love the look of the pics. I just scanned then with my canon pixma mp170. So the next set of films I will pay attention to the place, compsition. Not bad for a couple of oldies.

still shooting with the mamiya 6 with 50 and 150 lenses before and during sunrise with RTP before and e100sw after. I ran out of EPT for the before and I'm down to 3 or 4 rolls of sw. When the SW is gone I'll switch to e100gx. I still have about 30 rolls of RTP which should last for another 3+ weeks at the current rate of 8-10 per. When its gone I'm not sure what i'll do (e200 with an 80a?).
