This video is ASMR to me. It is beyond the common CLA at least here in my area where they just do the minimum. But the kind of work in the video times dollar per hour for the labor can match cost of new camera.

I just watched this. Very relaxing. Nice to know that there are people who can do this kind of work. Really amazing looking inside the work of the folks who built these cameras by the millions. 😊

... I am neither trained nor authorized pentax camera repair professional.. Quote from the video
The above says it all. I'd be surprised if that camera works correctly. I did not see the flange focal distance measured or set, nor the parallelism set. Meter not checked or adjusted. Shutter curtain times not checked or set, shutter stroke adjustment, x-synch timing, mirror angle, etc.

That's why you should always know what you can and can't repair.

A look at the service manual of an SLR shows what you can't do ... 😌

A nicely edited video: If only I could omit (in real life) all the fiddly and frustrating bits of my own camera repairs!

He didn't check anything. I would check the meter. Check shutter speed in auto. Check shutter curtain travel time. All that before even attempt to take it apart.
