Well, good for him. Was it the cold winter temps that messed him up on his first try at Yosemite? He sure seems to have figured it out now. I wish him all the best.

And I like his truck. Isn't it called a bread truck or something?
You don't see much of those over here in Holland, but I would like to get me one sometimes and make it into a mobile pinhole camera with darkroom.

Ian Ruhter reminds me of Jiro in the documentary of Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Both are always persuing perfection and feeling that they're falling short. I hope younger generation of photographers will find inspiration in Ruhter. It takes patients, tenacity and practice to make it to the end of the road to perfection. There's something real about had coated emulsions. So unlike the digital realm of today. Did you see the silver nitrite stains on those guys clothes? True artist.
