First, Minolta apparently markets an infrared remote release that can utilize a cable (option) for standard cable release cameras. Good up to 150 ft away. Marketed as a IR1 or IR-1. B&H has some peices used. Receiver, transmitter and cable come seperately.
2nd, Jack Deardorff ia available for camera refinishing/repair utilizing new and old parts. 219-464-9748. I can't remember ever seeing an ad of his, which is why I mention this.
