Selling this beautiful little unit. I've owned it for about 2 years, the price tag from the dealer's still on it. It has worked perfectly and I'll be sorry to see it go.
In case you haven't used one, this is a 2-bath RA4 paper processor. It's advertised to make prints 4x5 up to 8x10, although technically it will process any paper up to’’ 8" wide, so if you use roll paper like I do, you could do 8" panoramas. It's similar to a Durst RCP-20, but the mechanical and electronic design is newer; also it uses 2 baths instead of 3 (Thermaphot manufactured the units for Durst).
Using it: Never plug it in dry! Always add chemicals (or water), or these units will melt themselves. Add 2.5L developer to the first bath, 2.5L blix to the second bath, it'll heat your chemicals, and you're good to go. There is a button you can push on the front panel to see if the heating elements are on. You expose RA4 paper in your enlarger, open the lid and feed it into the processor, it runs it through the baths, and out into your waiting wash tray. You wash and dry the print, then evaluate. Once the print has been fed and the lid is closed, you can flip on your room lights. These instructions presume you know how to use a color enlarger head.
I've only used it for about 6 printing sessions, and it's was much more faster and safer than using trays. However, I don't have the space for it, so it must go.
