Yes, I agree with you.
When I had a car, I actually always put the camera in the car.
But currently I don't have a car, so when I want to shoot I find it difficult, as there must be a plan in advance.

Because of this thread I remembered to put my P&S in to my jackets pocket and behold; straight away I shot one roll of Tri-X on my lunch trip to sushi place.

I never put cameras in the pockets. It is dirtiest place. The sling and such. Nor am I stop, take it from pocket person. I wear camera on me.
