the zeiss 80mm Planar

Is mounted on many medium format cameras: including the Hasselblad and the Graflex XL.
The XL is 6x7, so do all Planar 80mm cover 6x7?

I wouldn't think so. My 80mm planar for Hasselblad is much smaller in diameter than my RZ lenses. And I have a nice zeiss 50mm planar for Leica M and that tiny guy wouldn't cover anything above 135

Not all Zeiss Planars for medium format as the Contax 645 80mm lens is optimised for the 6x4.5 format - I doubt it would be capable of rendering a full image for a 6x6, let alone 6x7.

I have a Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 mounted on a Baby Graphic board, and it for sure covers 6x7 and even 6x9 which astounds me.

hassel lenses

I am thinking of mounting my bellows front on a speed graphic board myself to mouunt hassy lenses on it...i believe the 135 s-planar i have will cast a decent image circle...

the others, though...hassy lenses have internal square light baffles which PREVENT coverage much larger than 6x6.....I'll try it out though when i get it together....I wanna see if I can get 6x9 on any of them....if so....HEY...excellent!
