Nikon made a special FM2 that was half frame, which preserved all the functions too.

I believe that the Yashica is a version made for some sort of specialized application like dental photography or such.

Ha! For those who aren't in on the joke(?) the FM was the fully manual precursor to the FM2. I still value mine.

I heard these existed and were sold only in the Japanese market, first photo I've seen on one. I think I may follow the sale and see where it goes.

Not getting at the particular OP in this case, but there are too many mysterious thread titles which usually lead to things of no interest to the particular reader. Or alternatively an interested reader (say a Nikon enthusiast in this case) could completely miss the thread.
(Something for the Mods to put in the recommendations?)
