The comment 'Weston is a fortunate man' near the end, is a bit ironic - since he was already suffering from Parkinson's disease.
Were the 'fishermen' played by Cole and Chandler ?

I realize that I own this on DVD
 
I watched it, with difficulty. It was a bit oozy. I can't say that there was anything significant said or show in it. Weston himself could have been a mannequin. Too much adulation and not enough substance.

Furthermore, it claimed that Stieglitz had settled once and for all that photography is art. That's pretty laughable. And it made it sound like the world came to Ed Weston and clamoured for his photos when he clearly had to work hard to get the credit he deserved.

It was a facile joke.
 
Very nice I didn't see this. I own the Eloquent Nude another good one
 
I think it’s odd that the film only displayed one of his photographs, the narration was a typical puff piece of the era. One didn’t get a sense of who he was and what his work looked like. On the other hand, it’s a beautifully produced piece of filmmaking, certainly looks like it was shot on 35mm. The camera person did a great job conveying a feeling of the central California coast.
