It looks great, David. I like scrolling through the images as you've done. As a viewer, I find that scrolling through images, whether vertically or horizontally, gives me more control over how long to view the work, as opposed to the slideshow format you used before, and the design is clean... shows off the work well. Good job. (And a big thanks of making the "previously featured" so easy to find... I got a lot of hits from it this week.)
David, I agree with Suzanne. The new design (and logo) are a vast improvement and I find navigation around the site a lot simpler. I'm just getting a grip on Indexhibit for my own site but it is a great template for photographers' sites. Congrats on the success.
David: I like the new design. It is fresh and clean. I especially like how the navigation links on the left side of the frame stay consistent from page to page; it keeps me from getting lost or having to back out 1 or more levels to go somewhere else. The only constructive criticism that I would offer is to decrease the size of vertically oriented photographs so that the entire picture is visible without scrolling.
Glad to see the short tracks of the world getting some love a la Jake Mendel in his recent book: Dead Link Removed
Since I have some racing fans in my gallery and a section called "Short Track" on my web site, I'll just point out for the record that my show called Short Track was in 2007. Wouldn't want anybody to think I'm copying the latest book from Powerhouse
Very good concept. Clean and straightforward execution. Seems like an excellent outlet for artists and definitely a site I'll visit again. I wish you great success.
I agree with the positive comments regarding navigation. It is simpler, better. What I would like to see, though is to have the text interspersed with the images. I think it would give more context to the images, though it would require more work in authoring and editing the articles.
