I honestly couldn't be happier with this little plastic gem. The Big Mini has surprised me with Velvia, Portra and now Ilfords Hp5. I take it everywhere, even to court last week. It such a pleasant camera to shoot and snap around! its fairly simple to use and suitable for most slow paced shooting! focus is always spot on, never have i gotten an out of focus shot from any of my rolls through the Big Mini. The only two problems I have are, 1, it does not remember your settings when you turn it off, for instance. If you choose to shoot without flash, turn it off and than back on, the camera automatically chooses to use flash again, a little annoying when youre in a bit of a rush. 2, you have to remember to set up the red eye feature when using flash (its stronger than you'd think)!! which is good! all in all, this is a great camera, I'm glad I choose to be cheap and purchase this over a Nikon 35ti! Big Mini cost me 30 dollars on offerup!

here's a few shots with the beauty.

Very nice photos indeed. Apparently that camera has earned a fair bit of praise on the 'net.

I have a Big Mini but rarely use it because the AF is sluggish and the advance is loud. The lens is reasonably sharp.

I have one I bought here a number of years ago; I prefer it over either of my two Olympus Stylus cameras, in all honesty. Photographs seem that little bit sharper, that little bit more contrasty... My complaints are that it forgets settings when you turn it off and my fingers have enough nerve damage that they can't feel the shutter button and I sometimes have to peek at it to make sure my finger is on it. If it stuck up just a tiny bit more...

I had and respected the original Konica A4, your camera's predecessor. The early ones like mine developed electronic bugs. Mine would take frame 1, then wind the rest of the film to the end. This was after a few years of use but until it failed, it gave surprisingly sharp results. The big advantage was its size as it was actually with me and not home in a camera bag like my other gear.
