By stubbornly refusing to open branches in Elkhart, IN these big institutions are sadly contributing to the cultural and intellectual poverty of our region. Personally, I don't think that an exhibit can be said to have been "important" or even "influential" until it's hit the local art museum.

You mean as in Elkhart, Indiana, population a tad over 50,000 and self-billed as"The RV Capital of the World"?

That's the one! A few decades ago it was the RV capital of the world! Before that it was the band instrument capital of the US, at any rate. Before that... it was a farm. But anyway: have you been here?
