So after work last night, I developed my first film all by myself. I had premixed the Ilford ID-11 powder the night before, So last night was the moment of truth. I had only developed one other time, and it was with an instructor who told me, "Now add this... etc."
There were only two screw-ups too. The first one was that I didn't completely cover up the window in my bathroom, (luckily I did it at night) so there was just a tad bit of light coming in from the outside, just enough to see the outline of the window. (Note to self: don't use towels to block out light.)
The other screw-up was that I didn't know I needed distilled water for the final wash (with photo-flo of course) I have very hard, well water, so there are a few streaks on the film, an my question is: Can I re-wash these to get rid of the streaks?
It took nearly 3 hours to develop the 2 rolls, mostly because I had to find everything, and to tape up the doors and window, and to make my un-concentrated solutions.
I had a blast though. Now I'm just waiting for the last part for my enlarger to do paper prints.
