i thought i woke up this morning but i was still asleep.
in my dream i went to the darkroom and mixed up a gallon
of film developer. it didn't smell bad, and it was clear.
it was there, i was using it to process my film ...

what does this mean ?
am i going to give up on coffee ?
will i mix regular developer and deep tank with it again ?


i'm tired and confused.

Just as long as you don't start putting your developer into your coffee cup, you're probably still okay.
 
Have a strong cup of FG7 and things will clear right up for ya, John.
 
Use coffee as your developer? Takes care of both problems.
 
I thought that you were posting a poem. But poem or not- interesting none the less. But still- developers and coffee or generally not mutually interchangeable.

It means, of course, that if your dream negatives turned out fully and correctly developed to your expectations, then ya'll done good...

hey macrorie

i drank up some of the coffee i use for developer
again just the other day .. it was pretty good .. sweet and full bodied.
it is funny how robusta coffee gets such a bad wrap ...

the first time i drank it, i photographed the whole experience
and then processed my film in the same coffee ( i added a few other things though )
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

i haven't had the dreams again since i posted this ...

You're lucky I keep dreaming that I've died and gone to heaven and there are warehouses and warehouses full of cameras and lenses and there all free, then I realize they are all digital and realize it isn't heaven
 

I think you need a 5 liter shot of Xtol to bring you back into normality.
 
Best you keep developing in that coffee John, I have a nephew over there, and he commented on the American coffee...saying you realy can't drink the stuff! Obviously it was never intended as a drink
