Hi, everyone:

I recently I got a Zone VI cold light head and a Zone VI timer for my OMEGA D5XL enlarger (Please see the attachments of this post), I will use them to print some prints from my 4x5 negatives.

There is my question: I know there should be a disk of white plastic to fit in the head under the tubes, in order to make the light uniform and it is very important to make the light even, but I haven't it. And I found the original spare is very difficult to find now. I would like to know is there any thing(material) can replace it?

I look forward to hear back from you.

Thanks!

---Li

white plexiglas< Roscoe diffusing material. I've used the plexi OK.

Opalescent glass is great for this kind of thing, but I've used 50% and 30% transmission white diffusion acrylic/plexi with good results...and it's a LOT cheaper.

The one that came with my old unit (not as pretty as yours by a long shot) was to all appearances just a piece of 1/8" white Plexiglas (or another brand sheet acrylic). It seemed to do the trick.

Thanks for your reply! I will try it.

Hi, Dave:

Thanks for your message.

Thanks above everyone. I will try the white plexiglas.
