The cursed roll (to not say the f**king roll!)

I already started with the wrong foot...

I was trying to load a roll of Agfa APX 100 (new emulsion) to my FM3a, I close the back, but... I think the lead got loose... so I open the back. Ouch! It was just fine! So I lost a couple of frames...

Lately I haven't got much time to shoot so with all the excitement I go out, and shoot the whole role in Aperture mode! I rewind the roll and... I notice that the ISO settings in the FM3a were at 400, brilliant! I have never pushed film. Instead of 10 minutes, the development time was 29 minutes... boooring.

Finally I'm done with the stop bath, the fixing and the rinsing, so I take the spiral out of the tank, shake it a bit and... flips, it slips out of my hands and to the sink! Well, I take it up and shake it a bit more. Then I hang it to dry... wait sec, that looks a bit loose... uops! Roll to the floor! I'll hang it again.

In the morning after, before I could get the roll down I had to change the diaper to my little daughter (a hardcore diaper as I call it), and the dog came also to the toilet to help. Brilliant!

Now I just had to scan it, and spent some hours in Lightroom removing dust, hair and other kinds of sh*t. I didn't even have the stamina to do any other "kind of processing"...

But here's what came out!

That was interesting... I like more this APX100 pushed at 400 than APX400 shot at 400. Less grain, better contrast, more tonality of grays... I didn't find it logical, but it seems to be the case

What developer did you use?

Wait till you try using fixer for developer. That one's still on your horizon. Jeez, 29 minutes is way too long to shake a plastic tank, I agree w/ you.

You know, the pics look real good, so you learned something. It's like the time I accidentally used the 1:1 dilution times for full strength D76 and developed the Tri-X 120 negs far too long. They came out perfect, w/ a little more bite and grain, which worked really well w/ an old uncoated Rolleicord Triorat lens.

I meant Triotar, although I do like the idea of a Triorat lens. Maybe eBay has one.
