I strolled through their site and nearly all photographers they present are from the USA.

Depends one ones stand... I wanted only to indicate that this podcast seemingly is a natioinal thing. You did not indicate this and I got the expection that this would be a wider approach.

I'm sorry I didn't mention that.

Many of the photographers interviewed are not born in USA and have made their work abroad. Plus 500 episodes. I wouldn't call that narrow in any means.

Great! I liked Gulnara Samoilova and Marc Silber interviews.

Please share episodes you liked!

.. and of course Elliot Erwitt interview. Amazing that such iconic photographer is in podcast interview! And he talked a lot - which is not typical for him

I listened to the first several years of The Candid Frame and then stopped as other podcasts competed for attention, but I'll definitely check out Elliot Erwitt, thanks. Ibarionex is a good interviewer and easy on the ears.

Are there other non-equipment podcasts to recommend?

Tyler Green is one of my favorites for art in general and he often interviews photographers. He's interviewed Robert Adams twice.

Jordan Weitzman also couldn't care less what equipment is used and I appreciate that very much.

Tyler Green's podcast is excellent. I've listened to those Robert Adams episodes a few times as well as several others.

My only gripe about Green is his seeming refusal to buy a decent microphone. I mean come on! :D

On Instagram today Alec Soth called attention to a podcast just released, a conversation between himself and Gem Fletcher on the The Messy Truth podcast. Gem is a good interviewer and Alec always has interesting things to share. No gear talk at all.

They discuss his career in general and his most recent book, I Know How Furiously Your Heart is Beating, which is an excellent book of portraits, by the way. The interview was recorded after the start of the Pandemic.
