Hey all. You haven't heard much from me in a while, and I haven't been able to participate in as many exchanges as I'd like, but I've been pretty busy. Briefly, I've graduated from university and jumped into photography, as deep as I could go. I'm still continuing my research in Photogravure, and have a copperplate portfolio in the works for an exhibition in august. Me and a friend have also put our money where our mouth is and leased part of a warehouse to establish a traditional and experimental facility, which we're calling The Analogue Lab. We're not officially open yet, we're still installing some bench space and getting our colour chemistry, but we're here to stay. We have 5 enlargers, covering everything from 16mm to 4x5" in colour and black and white, with an 8x10" colour enlarger on the way. We're set up for alternative processes with a lovely big UV unit, and we should have our etching press by the end of the year. It's light tight as all heck, we have a big rotating darkroom door, and we've been making prints and developing film for the past few weeks.
We're also running a series of workshops this coming June, with some photographers visiting from Tasmania, Alice Blanch and James Tylor.
