I was eating dinner at a restaurant and there was this totally hot waitress running around. I had a finished roll in my camera and clicked the release button. Still thinking about the girl, I popped open the camera back ... without rewinding.

Lost about 15 exposures and felt really stupid. At least i wasn't driving.

Ha!
Keep your wits about you when females are around!
They use black magic and next time you might lose more than a few exposures!
But, I feel for you...

Just when you need those exposures most. Look what happens! But then, if you could take the liberty to aim at her that many times, you had your fun already. If she wasn't offended by all you clicking at her, you might ask her ought for a proper session:smile:

My interpretation is that the photos weren't necessarily of her...

actually you didn't necessarily lose them, I've had rolls of film when I first started bulkloading, didn't tape the end on the spindle properly, opened the back, said "oh crap" when I saw the entire roll still stuck on the cameras take up spool and the end taped to the shutter curtain.

My GF INSISTED I print the roll even though I told her that I had totally exposed it, twice, once when doing it and once when showing her, for like 2 minutes solid.

But she wouldn't listen, and whaty'a know, out of a roll of twenty four, at least two thirds were printable, and the first ten looked perfectly fine except for the rebate which was darkened a bit.

She still crows about how right she was, and how wrong I was....

This was arista.edu black and white ISO 100.

So do you have a picture of her, or did you blow that too?

An additional thought: why do men always blame the woman? :D

Tim Walls was right .. I wasn't shooting her ... It was a photo I had taken earlier that got ruined. towards the end of the roll, naturally ...

This wouldn't have happened with a digital camera. Clearly sounds like a Sandisk Moment to me...

(joking, please don't expel me from apug).

It's an omen, time for you to switch to medium format. When your done the films already wound, no pesky rewinding necessary. Plus I hear that hot waitresses really dig TLRs.

Premature ejection happens to every guy once in a while . . . the chicks will tell you there's nothing to be ashamed of . . . but we all know the awful truth . . . . next time try to picture the ugly waitress at the other table . . .

My Dad always told me to keep it in my pants. Or in this case keep it in your camera.

I stopped buying Sandisk products when they didn't honor a rebate offer. Instead, they stupidly lost a customer to keep a few dollars. Another reason I still shoot film.

Next time, just have a friend tie you to the mast. Then you can listen to the sirens but won't be able to screw up your film.

Get a Hasselblad, the sound of the shutter firing is the sexiest sound in the world. The women will be all over you.....

Hey Bill, it doesn't seem to be working for me, as I always have to resort to a lot of on-my-knees-begging to get a couple photographs. Maybe I should change my perfume or something.

I once popped the back of a 35mm SLR without rewinding the 36 exposure roll of HP5+ that was in there. Slammed it shut again the moment I saw what I'd done, and then sat there shaking my head, thinking what a silly reaction that was. Obviously, the roll was now worthless, right? In the end I developed it just to see what it looked like - and discovered that half the roll was, indeed, printable.
