I thought I would share my solution to the MX lever problem that can damage things. As you may know, the self timer does not play nice with the camera in M flash sync.

Solution:

I think its a 14-16 sized ribbed wall anchor.

Cut a short piece off.

Jam in camera, removable, but very solid.

Simple solution! I always thought the rubber band looped around the flash sync lever and the lever at the bottom of the lens was factory equipment.

I know people who use a dab of super glue, never to be switched again.

Effective yes, but those of us that still use flashbulbs hate that. It makes the camera non-purchasable for us.
