The Texas Church Project will have two exhibitions early in 2009.

The first is from January 8-22 at

Janette Kennedy Gallery
Southside on Lamar
1409 South Lamar
Dallas, TX 75215
214-426-1575

Artists' reception on Sat., Jan 10, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM!

Gallery hours 9:30 - 6:00 weekdays (other times - see Concierge)

After we take this down, we haul it up to Lubbock to mount the show in the College of Architecture at Texas Tech University, where it will hang from Jan 29 - Feb. 20. I'll post more details on this later.

We're doing our best to show what can be done with black and white film and some silver or platinum salts on paper. Not to mention our bit for historic preservation.

Y'all come on out, y'hear!

Thanks for the kind words Valerie and Mike.

Just an FYI, for anyone that can make it to the Dallas show..This show will have mix of new work (around 70%) and the best of from previous exhibits. So, if you enjoyed the exhibit before (or did not get to see it at UNT) this is a chance to see what we have been up to lately (Matt's new 12x20 pt/pd prints are really nice and David has some really nice silver work - both a must see). I will have some new 7x11 pt/pd, as well as 8x10 prints this time. Hope some of the local folks can make to Dallas on the 10th next month, we would love to see you there.

I'm shooting a wedding this evening or I would be there for the artist reception! I'll make sure to visit the exhibition next week though.

If you are in the Dallas area or are passing thru you will want to stop by the gallery at Southside on Lamar and see this show. I was there last night for the opening reception and it looked GREAT! I could see a book printed from this project when finished. Great job guys...

David,

While wandering around Palestine last Saturday looking for a bakery, we passed the Museum for East Texas Culture. This might be a place to exhibit the Church Project. No, East Texas Culture is not an oxymoron.

We also drove by Sacred Heart Catholic Church, founded 1893.

We eventually found Eilenberger's Bakery. Well worth the trouble to find it.
