I didn't found any information about tetenal hardener with google and apug search.
The package itself doesn't help much too. It only says that you can use hardener with stop or fixer, by adding 25ml to one liter.

But.. As I don't know which agent Tetenal's hardener is based on, I cannot use it with alkaline fixers that I have. But is it safe to use with stop bath (ie. water) even if fixer is alkaline?

Before that, I have to use it only with Agefix - I presume.

Any better information available?

Thanks!

Most Alum hardeners will not work above a pH of about 5. They form a cloudy precipitate which can harm many photomaterials. Do NOT use them with alkaline fixes or neutral water washes. I cannot say what you have, but if it is Alum based, this will be a problem.

Most mixes of Alum hardeners contain sulfuric acid.

Have a look at the label of the bottle, or search for it's MSDS. It should reveal something.
