Hello,
I am about to start an evaluation of b/w film/dev combinations.
For now I am not interested in taming highlights, that will be the subject of another study.
What kind of image and lighting would you use for that?
I am trying to evaluate sharpness (real and perceived/acutance effects) and smoothness of tones.
What kind of object(s) would you photograph, under what light?
I was thinking, maybe a bust with a head that I could buy at some flea market, and a cauliflower, the first to evaluate tones and the second for sharpness.
Maybe a lamp with a diffuser in front of it.
Ideas?
thanks
