What happened to this thread no development??
A question I have to those using the Ternary Colour Diagram:
There are a few patches that block UV but how to determine the ideal colour when it comes to full range of density?

May I then suggest the following:
The new system be known as the RAP Negative System.
RAP is a tongue in cheek recursive acyronym for Ratios Aren't PDN Negatives".
When utilizing colorized negatives, there is usually more than one color that provides sufficient blocking, but there may be other differences like graininess or the shape of the correction curve required to linearize the printed output. The only way to determine what works best for your print process and workflow is to examine prints.
Philip thanks, it seems like this thread never developed but may have transformed elsewhere and that is what I was looking for.
Some links I have come across are "dead links". Bits and pieces I have found at:Digital negatives Negatives AlternativePhotography.com Dead Link Removed Dead Link Removed
I hope this helps some others that need this info.
