Temperature mixing valve - can I get one in Europe?

Oh yes, I know I am flooging that old horse again...

But here goes: I am working in a community lab, and we have an old Grohe mechanical mixing valve which now is starting to show its age, giving erractic temperatures. At first I was thinking along the lines of trying to repair/rebuild but that'll probably cost some good money. I know next to nothing about plumbing and I am located in Sweden.

Now I am facing the task of trying to find something similar. A Haas Intellifaucet would be nice, but the price gets pretty steep with taxes and shipping. And I don't know if it fits.

Any pointers and tips would be great!

Go to a large hardware store that sells new mixer faucets for bathtub and shower use. Ask them what may be counted on for temperature change when the faucet is allowed to run.

The thermometer part of the system, I finally found a bunch of them on eBay as hot water thermometers. Look under Hydronic Thermometer.

The temperature contolling mixing valve was invented and first put to practical use in the Soviet Union before WWII. It was seen by Churchill and brought back to the UK and the US during the WWII talks between Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin. This information comes from Churchill's monumental many volume set on WWII.

The purpose of this is to note that these valves must certainly be available in Europe and the former SU having spread WW from there.

Danfoss are one widely-available Scandinavian source of temperature controls and valves for domestic and industrial heating systems. A quick browse of their online catalogue turned up this:

but they may have more suitable products too (which allow lower output temperatures for example).

If you look for a local Danfoss dealer - ideally a low-key warehouse type place on a local industrial estate, rather than a DIY superstore - they will have other options too.

An alternative might be a tankless water heater.
At least one is made for darkrooms. It will vary
the temperature within the usual extremes of
darkroom work. Less, IIRC, than the least
expensive of the usual regulators. Dan
