Temperature change @ rodinal

Hello guys,

I just developed a role of apx 100 in rodinal. The delution was 1+50 and the temperature 20 °C. I developed it for 16 min 45 sec and afterwards I checked the temperatur and it was about 22,2 °C.

I have two questions, first of all is it very bad if the temprature gets 2 ° higher?

The second question would be what expiriences you have with rodinal + apx.

Hi, luckyloser and welcome. I visit your country often as I work for an Austrian company. As pnance said, the important question is how were the negs? That is not a massive overdevelopment, so you may be okay. You should try to maintain a known temperature. I love using Rodinal with APX 100.

Rodinal is not a particularly high contrast developer. For example, even at 1+25 dilution, HP5+ will not produce more than 0.65 CI in Rodinal. I am not familiar with APX 100, though I believe it to be the same as Arista 100 which I have used. I doubt that 22 C will be a disaster.
