Have you ever shot film in one? How good was the AF system? The meter? Can you rotate one of the 645 inserts mid roll or only at the start/finish?

The Hy6 is my dream medium format work camera. I currently shoot a Rollei 2.8E (modified to take a prism) and a Pentax 6x7 at weddings, but I could see leaving both at home for an AF 6x6 camera that has a meter and takes inserts...

I never heard of one until now. Are you still shooting weddings in film? I did for over 20 years before going digital. How can you handle it without 220? In the church 24 frames wasn't enough, I can't imagine 10-15 frames with 120 regardless of how many backs you have. I'm sure that is a wonderful camera, I started out with Rollies.

Rick

Easy! I'm not 100% film, and I use 35mm too. Dark churches get digital. Outdoor ceremonies get a mix of film and digital. The vast majority of my film shooting happens during the portraits with the couple, getting ready, and various other parts of the day where I have time. When I shooting portraits I have my 2nd either loading the Pentax or my Rollei, depending on what I hand him or her. I've been shocked at how much I like the output of my F6 though!

However were I to need to load much faster, having a set of pre-loaded inserts works fine with cameras like the Contax 645AF or Hasselblad H, Mamiya, etc... I'd just rather have a 6x6 and 645 in one! That I don't have to rotate!
