Anyone know how the front taking lens comes out? Do you have to take the front plate off first?

I'm pretty certain that you remove the viewing lens using the spanner slots first, then the front shroud, then the taking lens will come off. Been a while. It might be that the three screws around the top of the lens shroud, just below the bayonet assembly, serve as lock screws for the viewing lens. So they might need to be backed out or removed for the lens to move.
