I still have one roll of Tech Pan in my bag. I have 5 bottles of Tecnidol, though. After I have developed my last roll of TP, what can I do with the 4 remaining bottles of developer ? Is anyone interested in having them ? Can I use them for another film ?
George, I've got the opposite problem. I just bought a bunch of TP sheet film and friends are giving me their roll film stock. I haven't used the film in some time, but I like its high contrast and red shift and I'm looking at various developer options. No I don't want your Tecnidol, but rather some developer that I can mix that will give me the control I'm looking for.
I have used Technidol diluted 1:2 on ortho-litho film and development by inspection. The results were not horrible but still more contrast than I'd like. The next time I am going to try 1:4. Just for fun as I have lots of Technidol and orth-litho film is cheap.
I'd be glad to take the stuff off your hands, but shipping from Greece wouldn't be very practical. I suggest that you keep the stuff. The next time you have some night shots or other very high-contrast subject material, try the Technidol to tame the contrast. I know from experience that it works great with T-Max 100, and I imagine that it would do well with various other films as well.
I am afraid that I don't have any Konica IR, and I don't use Tmax. Is Kodalith still produced ? It would be fun to use, I guess... If it's not, I might try it with PanF and contrasty subjects... Since I intend to start a project involving night shots in the following months, it might prove handy (but not enough !!!!)...
