Hi folks, just got my order from Freestyle with all my wet side processing goodies. One of the items I got is a Patterson Universal tank for 35/126/120 film. This is pretty much for single rolls of 120, either Pan-F in Rodinal or Techpan in Technidol.
So...I look at the bottom of the tank and notice that instead of the standard amounts of 8 oz. for a single roll of 35 and 16 oz. for 120, it asks for 10 oz and 17.5 oz!!! So I put the reel in set for 120 and sure enough, it needs a full 17.5 oz.
This kind of hoses the whole deal for why I bought it since Technidol comes in packets for 8 oz of solution. So now what? longer development times in a slightly dilute mix? Or do I have no choice but to add 1.1 oz more Technidol to the mix? I can't see wasting three packets of Technidol on a single roll of 120 Techpan, that is just silly..
I know, I could get a stainless steel tank and reel set, but the whole reason I went with the Patterson one is that for me, 120 is easier to load on it.
Any ideas?
