Technical Pan (bulk) - no edge markings?

I bought an old (expired 1991) bulk roll of Tech Pan recently, and shot/processed a test roll this weekend. I was surprised to see that the processed film had no edge markings. I'm used to seeing the film ID, even from bulk.

Did Kodak do this with bulk Tech Pan? Did they do it with other film?
