Hi all, I just recently got this densitometer and am trying it out now. I'm reading out my stouffer step wedge T2115 and compare my readings with stouffers specifications (
http://www.stouffer.net/T2115spec.htm). In my understanding, my readings should be roughly similar to stouffers, am I correct? Just "similar", because I don't have the calibrateted T2115. What I find out is, that my readings differ more and more, the denser the patches on the step wedge get. At patch 2, the difference ist at .02, at patch 8 the it is already .09 and at patch 13 it differs with .16. Patch 13 is about as dense as XI.
How are your experiences with the accuracy of old high-tech gadgets. After all, my densitometer was made 1997!!! Or do you neglect differences like those above? Knowing that a difference of .10 equals a third stop of exposure, neglecting does not make much sense to me...
Thanks to all, who drop me an answer.
