Tech-Pan 120 dated 6/2002

I got some of this today at a local camera store in their 'grab bag area' for $1 per roll. Also some Kidak developer for it (liquid form, can't recall the name). Is the film likely any good assuming reasonable storage? Any recommendations on ASA setting and development?

I am using Tech Pan with a 1997 Expry date and it works fine. Do an APUG search, there has been a lot of development data posted.

I'd say it's good.

Depends on what you want to do. Usually 12 to 25 ASA and a special developer.

I've used much older stock and been fine. Expose at 25 ISO and Dev in Technidol unless you are wanting some special effect. For copy negs, expose at 12 ISO and knock a minute off the dev time. I find it likes longer fixing than advertised. If you haven't processed it before, it is on a special thin base that can be a pig to get onto tank spirals. Just be patient. You get there in the end.

Interesting -- in just found I had a box of 4x5 tech pan today... I have a lot of 120 and 35mm of TechPan-- some of it is over 10 years old and works just fine. Basically, the slower the film, the more longevity it appears to have.

Sorry Mike: I'm planning on using it, now that my 4x5 enthusiasm is growing. That and my sheets of Kodalith should be a lot of fun... (mmm Kodalith in Dektol...yummy).

Picked up some more goodies:

2 rolls 35mm 36exp Tech Pan, dated 8/2003 for $1 per roll
35mm x 100 ft bulk roll of Kodalith ortho film 6556 dated 1/2000 for $2
2 rolls AGFA APX 25(!!) for $5 per roll, dated 7/2005

Nice bag of goodies. Can someone advise on processing the Kodalith?
