Stick with it. As a bretheren soul mate in this regard, all I can tell you is: it's the internet. As someone who has been labeled, and surely still is, a troll many, many times - for making use of polls, for asking if we should buy American more, for suggesting a link with Photo.net, recently for asking if FOTO3 is too expensive, and even for lamenting a loss that a certain photographer only made inkjet prints of his wonderful images!
Hang in there and wade through the waters. So some people think you're a troll. Meh. Wait 'till the death threats come, then you'll be somebody!
But let's face it these discussions have been done to death on every photography forum under the sun.
It's just that I come to apug to get away from them.
For the record, I use both film and digital - film much more than digital. 'Tearing down'? I have no interest in that.
I wouldn't normally comment on a thread that didn't interest me, I would ignore it. But this seems an odd thread to have here.
It seems that the supposition behind the OP is that apug is a group of digi-haters. I think it's more accurate to describe it as a group of film lovers, and there's a world of difference in the emphasis.
I read the OP briefly whilst having my lunch at work, so perhaps did not give it as much consideration as usual. However we have seen so many postings here talking about digital photography that always turn into slanging matches, I cannot believe anyone would expect their post to be different. That's why I thought it was a Troll.
I don't usually read them these days but I have a couple of days off and... my mistake.

This is a valid point and I too wondered when I read the thread title. It seems we border on the negative on APUG, don't we? It has resemblence to the 'anti-Kodak' feeling Kodak has of APUG. Maybe there's a pattern here? (No people, I'm not trolling!)
We can't expect to request opinions from the general populus, and "not expect" a variety of responses. If someone is expecting controlled responses to the original question, this is probably not the place to be soliciting.
Here's my two dubloons . . .
I use a digital camera whenever I need the output from a digital camera. Traditional Photography is a hobby for me. I enjoy the hobby and I like the final product. It's great stuff. HoooRaaaah!
