Tea Toning Cyanotype ?

This may seem silly, but nobody ever mentions whether you should wash/rinse cyanotypes after toning in tea. Any thoughts?

Yes. I wash the toned print approximately 10 minutes in light running water.
Without a washing phase, the print is after one or two hours darker than desired.
