I've finally got the required chemicals together, so now it's time to brew some PC-TEA.

I see from reading various sources that one should use the XTOL 1+2 times as a starting point when using PC-TEA 1+50. Does this fit with most other PC-TEA users experience?

What is a good starting point for PC-TEA 1+100? XTOL 1+3?

What about an "if no other information, start at....?" - for example, if I have no info for Rodinal 1+100 for films up to ISO400, I start at 20 minutes and work from there.

The recommendations I've seen are for undiluted D-76 times for PC-TEA at 1:50. I believe that was in the formula comments under the "Articles" section here on APUG (not yet restored?), and I've gotten it from other users as well. This has worked well for me so far.

Sandy King also recommends adding 0.2 grams of potassium bromide to 100ml of PC-TEA stock to reduce fog from 0.20 down to about 0.08 with FP4, Delta 100, and TMX. He finds this amount doesn't decrease activity.

P.S. Just ran across the XTOL 1+2 times recommendation on the Massive Development Chart, but I haven't compared those times to straight D-76. Might be worth a comparison before proceeding.

I've just hung a roll of Rollei Retro 400 up to dry. Developed in PC-TEA 1+50 at 20C for 11 minutes. Looks to be spot on.

I used the version with 9g ascorbic acid and 0.25g phenidone,make up to 100ml with TEA.Some testing with 100 T-max showed smaller grain with the 1:100 than the 1:50 so I used the 1:100.
For the 1:100 I multiply the Xtol 1+2 times by 1.6.This has worked quite well for Delta 100, 100 T-max and Acros.I have not done much with traditional films. IMO the prints look sharper than those from solvent developers and for the 1:100 the grain is quite small.
