Will this Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro work on a Nikon F4??

I have that lens in a Canon mount and I am quite fond of it.

To maintain full functionality with the F4, lenses do need the aperture ring. If it's a G-type lens without the ring then the camera will only work in Program or Shutter priority mode.
