Don't see why not. Does it have an aperture ring?

I have that lens in a Canon mount and I am quite fond of it.

I haven't received the body yet... does any lens I put on it have to have an aperture ring?

To maintain full functionality with the F4, lenses do need the aperture ring. If it's a G-type lens without the ring then the camera will only work in Program or Shutter priority mode.
