Has anyone got the above combo (this is the latest version with the stabilisation)? No mention of film cameras obviously in Tamron's site, I think it should work but just checking. Thanks!

Yeah I've found reports that things like the 35/1.8 and 45/1.8 work but there are so many variations now with the way aperture (especially with Sigma) or whatever is controlled you never know...

If it has an e-aperture, it will not work.
With my F6 only the Sigma Art 35 and 50 work out of their range. The other Art lenses have e-apertures.
You should be able to check with Tamron and ask about their aperture implementation.
