taking wet plates old school?

Wondering if anyone has gone out west in a car/truck doing the wet plate thing carrying their darkroom
like Talbot and the original photogs did ?
Would seem to make a good project or mag article, maybe even a book...

I think there's a decent amount of people doing this. I can think of 2-3 just here in my little friend circle in Santa Fe.
