I was sent a cassette of October 1952 Dated ILFORD FP3 with the 'Challenge' to see what i could get out of it. I decided to use 2 Geoffrey Crawley Formulae -- FX-4 and Acutol-S FX15 both at 1+1 .
I did a strip setting 100 ASA on my Weston Master V to start and got 1/60th @ f16 then kept 1/60th and changed the Apertures to f1.4 and 'Guessed' 9 mins @ 20oC in FX-4 1+1 which was over-developed-- so on next test I set 10 ASA and cut time to 7 mins and got some negs with a high Fog Level but Images ! The FX=15 developer gave a much LOWER Fog Level at 7 mins . I have done a Video about my testing showing the actual negatives and some prints -- you can see it here:
