Free for the cost of shipping - which I have no idea what it would be. 8 Pentax K1000 SE bodies in various states of disrepair, 1 Canon AT-1 body that I don't have a battery to test so it might work (with 50mm and 200mm FD lenses), and 5 Pentax ZX-M bodies - some of which sort of work, others not at all. They are all engraved with the name of the high school that they came from. There is also 16 Pentax SMC 50mm f/2 lenses. The focus ring is stuck on all of them, some have physical damage and some have apertures that don't quite work right. For the most part, the glass is in decent shape - nothing broken there.
These SMC-A 50mm are most likely cross threaded. It happens when the filter ring takes a frontal hit, the threads of the aluminum part of the helicoid just slip under the threads of the plastic part. You can simply use a flat screwdriver to gently pry up the aluminum ring.
And the countdown begins....I will hang on to these until Tuesday, October 9 at 10pm Central time. If no one wants them by then, they'll be waiting by the curb in a big blue plastic bin!
I am not quite sure where you are located but I teach photography in Iowa and we could sure use some more cameras, even parts donors for our repair guy would be a big help.
