Project Basho has invited Takashi Arai, http://www.takashiarai.com/ an emerging Japanese photographer, to lead a series of events related to the daguerreotype process including a lecture on the use of traditional daguerreotype printing within the context of contemporary Japan as his subject matter.
Friday, March 13th 7-9 p.m.

Following the Friday lecture, Takashi Arai will conduct a public demonstration during which he will create the daguerreotype portrait.
