I purchased this camera a couple of weeks ago from craigslist and then less than a week later I also purchased a Wista 45DX for less money. The Tachihars looks like it was very rarely used, and the Wista looks like it was used very often. I have been trying to decide which one to keep and I have decided to keep the Wista. The Tachihara is in near new condition and the Wista has one of the front standard knobs that came off but I will just use the other side to tighten. I would also feel better selling the one in much better condition to avoid any problems for the new owner after a short period time. Also I will be very rarely using it so the Wista should be fine for me. Price includes paypal fee but insured shipping is on the buyer. Shipping only to paypal verified U.S. addresses only. I have no feedback here but I have well over 200 ebay and some on FM forum. Will provide user name to interested buyers.
Price: $550.00

There's always a market at the right price. Perhaps yours is too high, I don't keep up with the Tachihara market so I couldn't say. The advice to try LFF is good, but if you're not yet a member there you won't be able to post in the FS forum until 30 days after you join (free).

It is a good price. As mentioned, the LFF might be a better venue. I sold my Tachihara there a couple of months ago for about the same price and it wasn't as nice as this one. I got no interest on this forum either.

I'd snap it up in a heartbeat if I wasn't in the middle of a darkroom remodel. By all means, post the ad on every applicable forum, but don't expect immediate sales on specialized gear; if you want/need it gone quickly, put a can't-pass-it-up price on it...otherwise, give it a few weeks. Tachiharas are good cameras and someone will buy it; might even be me if it sits for awhile.

Excellent price. I used to own one of these and your camera would be great for someone who wanted to try out 4x5. Of course it would be also great for anyone who wanted a featherweight 4x5 for backpacking.

Be patient. I've tried selling items on Ebay that wouldn't sell so I'd list them again after I lowered the price $50.00. They would end up selling for more than I originally listed them. It's all about who is looking for an item when. I see you also have it listed on the LFPF. I would think it would at least sell there. If not, it will sell on Ebay.

Someone ought to snatch this up!

Here is a picture of the broken part on the Wista. Repairable at low cost?

Already over several years interested in 4x5" bit until now didn't buy a field camera, the broken part is no problem.
The problem is importing the item from the USA to the Netherlands which will result in an additionall import tax to be paid resulting in a 50% price increase which makes the item a bit to expensive.

Good luck in selling the camera

regards,
Guus.
