Does anyone use this cheap drawing A4 LED pad for viewing negatives?
How is it comparing to a dedicated lightbox?
Is the provided light enough to scrutinize easily your negatives?
I have something similar, but it doesn't work for me. Reason being is that there is in fact a grid embedded underneath the top plate which makes the surface a very coarse raster. I'm sure not all of these products are designed the same way, so best check close-up photos of the unit before purchasing.
All of the cheap chinese A4 pads around 12-15$, like this one, doesn't have a plain white board, but as @koraks said, they embed a grid layer underneath which means that there are more drawing oriented. The question is if this grid truly affects viewing of negatives or not.
The most expensive brands like the recommended HUION or Parblo have a plain white board. Thus, I think I will skip the cheap ones and I will go for one of these.
