Saw a little gem on Craigslist the other day...
Picked up a Calumet C-1 that'd seen nothing but dust and copy work for the last decade for $100, with 3 pristine Fidelity Elites.
The 'ground glass' is just normal glass with tape and lines drawn on it, something to do with some focusing assisting thing he used?
So I ordered one through Ebay with Steve Hopf (Anyone familiar?)
He said he'd custom cut it to my exact dimensions and clip the corners neatly for me.
So I converted my 210 Symmar and confirmed my suspicions, it just covers at 370, without much movement.
So I borrowed a 300 Symmar from the school and slapped it on my extra board...man.
Even on the tape in low light, that is one big bright image.
I'm used to my 4x5, and I'm used to a grossly hand ground 11x14 glass with studio modeling lights at f/12.5.
Seeing that 5.6 hit the glass is something new.

Anyways, peeking around Chicago area for people dumping 8x10 enlargers, as 11x14 contacts aren't enough for me, and that camera is in no way ever coming out of the studio anyways.
Real excited, maybe I even ought to pay for an account here so I can share some work in the gallery?
Who knows, we'll see, maybe after I sell a print or two.
