Went down to Lincoln yesterday and stopped to see Suzanne's show at the Workspace Gallery. The installation was very good and the lighting was excellent.
The prints are simply beautiful. The size (20x24?) really allows one to feel the emotion of the prints. The images (for me) have a somewhat melancholy or bittersweet feel. They recall the magic and mystery of what is was like to be a child and how short that time is in our lives. Suzanne has a wonderful ability to capture those moments that define the quirky and sometimes awkward, often times eloquent moments of a child's summer.
The show made me appreciate the fact my wife and I had children later in our marriage and that in middle age I can recapture some of that magic through the eyes and experiences of my own kids.
Thanks for sharing Suzanne.
